
Christmas Sausage Puffs

Ingredients
- 24 oz bulk sausage
- 4 oz shredded Swiss cheese
- 1 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
- 3 large eggs
- 1 tbsp dried parsley flakes
- 1 tsp dried basil leaves
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- salt
- black pepper
- 17 oz frozen puff pastry
- 0.5 cup Dijon mustard
- 2 tbsp honey
Brown sausage
Heat oven to 350°F. Brown sausage in large skillet; drain and cool.
Mix filling
Add cheeses, eggs (reserve 2 tablespoons) and seasonings to sausage; stir gently.
Prepare pastry
Keep pastry very cold until ready to use. Roll out 1 sheet of pastry to 12 x 17-inch rectangle.
Assemble puffs
Place half of sausage mixture along one side of rectangle. Bring sides together by rolling over. Pinch ends tightly. Repeat with remaining pastry and sausage.
Bake
Place on cookie sheet and form semi-circle. Brush with reserved egg. Bake at 350°F. for 30 to 40 minutes or until golden brown.
Cool and slice
Cool 10 minutes; slice into 1½-inch slices. Combine mustard and honey; serve with puffs.
